I UPDATED THE GRAPHICS DRIVER TO ENABLE DATA DOWNLOADS but I am unable to open files. The reason given was"this file requires your computer to read javascript?active x". What more can I do? I need to access these files!!!!!

Firefox doesn't do ActiveX.
