Cannot download from Fileserve using FireFox

For a couple of weeks now, I have been unable to download from Fileserve . ( I am a free user, not premium ).

I select free download, solve the Capcha , and the count-down starts normally, but when it reaches zero, instead of showing a download link button, it reloads the original page for the file I am trying to access.

This only happens with FireFox. I can download from Fileserve with K-Meleon, or Comodo Dragon.

I have tried with all add-ons disabled, and it still fails, so it does not seem to be a problem with one of my extensions.

I can download via FF from many other file sharing sites such as Filesonic and Rapidshare. It is only the Firefox / Fileserve combination that will not work.

A search showed that I am not the only one with this problem, but did not provide a solution.

I have sent three emails to Fileserve, but have received no response from them other than their auto-reply saying that I would be contacted soon.

Thanks for your suggestion Swarnava, I have updated to FF8, but unfortunately it has not fixed the problem.

I have the exact same problem with FileServe and FF8. The workaround is to download their Fileserve Manager and install the Firefox add-on for it. You then simply right click on the FileServe link and select "Download with FileServe Manager" or highlight the link text at the bottom of the FileServe page and the FSM pop-up will appear. Click on "Download with FSM." This will start the program and you enter the Capcha through that.

If you go into the FSM options you can choose to have it not start with Windows and only work when using FileServe and Firefox. I haven't had a problem with FileServe downloads using Firefox since I installed the FSM.
