Can I keep my existing browser if I download firefox to use as alternative?

I currently use Internet Explorer as my browser. If I download firefox can I still use Internet Explorer and use firefox as an alternative?

Yep - you can run more than 1 browser. (I have 6 on my PC)

You can even have multiple browsers running at the same time and switch between them at will.
