Ever since we updated Firefox we can't get the drop down history in the address bar (between the star and refresh button) to open for faster searching.
We would like to be able to pull down a list of recently visited sites instead on having to type a whole address into the address bar.

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History, Bookmarks, History and Bookmarks
- https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Location+bar+autocomplete
Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
