Downloaded Firefox-9.0.tar.bz2, How do I install this to replace my 8.0 Ubuntu 1.0 version?

I used the Search for Files application to find "firefox" Current Firefox 8.0 seems to be installed in /etc & or /usr directories.

Downloading firefox-9.0.1.tar-1.bz2 [read only] completed. What do I do/how do I do it... install the 9.0.1 Firefox?
