random blank boxes appear and disappear; not present if add ons disabled. clues as to which add on is responsible for this

blank boxes and sometimes previous web page blocks repeatedly pop in and out near the upper portions of the browser. Like snapshots of a piece of previous web pages and in this particular instance since no previous site had been opened they are blank black boxes.

There is an easy approach for how to figure out:

  1. Disable half of your add-ons
  2. If the issues goes away, enable half of the previously disabled again. Continue till you find the culprit
  3. If the issue doesn't go away, disable half of the previously not disabled group. Continue with 2.

Should take maybe 2-3 restarts depending on the number of your add-ons to find the culprit.
