Firefox won't connect with the Internet. I had a virus that I had to start my pc in Safe Mode in order to do a System Restore.

I kept getting a message from Norton that Ttrojan ZeroAccessxxx was blocked. I scanned my pc and removed several different similar name trojans (all starting with ZeroAccess) but after a restart the messages continued. I downloaded Avast with the same results. Talking with IT at work they suggested doing a system restore. I have Parental Controls set and therefore have 2 area's to log into the computer (1 for me and one for everybody else). System Restore wouldn't work, for whatever reason and I had to start my pc in Safe Mode in order to perform the System Restore. Several Scans later it appears that the virus may be gone but Firefox can't/won't connect with the internet however Internet Explorer will.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Also make sure that the firewall isn't blocking Firefox if you've used system restore.

Note that using System Restore can cause your Firefox installation to get corrupted because not all files are restored (only files in a white-list), so be cautious with using System Restore.
You may need to (re)install software that was affected.
Delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling to be sure that all files get updated.

I've scaned with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender; I'll try the others. Thanks for the info; I'll keep working on it.

I don't normally have so many typo's. I'd already ran SpyBot already also.
