Strange Options in right click menu/No "copy text" when text highlighted
Recently, like in the last day or two, my right click menu has been behaving oddly. When I first start Firefox, if I try to right click and copy text, I instead get a very oddly filled right click menu shown here: http://i.imgur.com/72LGg.jpg I haven't installed any add-on's or extensions in Firefox recently and I've never had this problem before. Thinking maybe it was Chrome or iTunes (iTunes being the only thing I recently updated on my computer), I uninstalled them both but nothing's changed. I even went as far as updating my Firefox 16 to Firefox 17 and still I'm getting the strange menu.
It seems mostly to do with highlighting text. If I highlight something, the right click menu is whatever it was previously (like if I click on a blank spot it shows the back option and etc, but then if I highlight text, it offers the blank spot menu: http://i.imgur.com/bAGem.jpg or if I open a new tab before hand, it'll offer the new tab window: http://i.imgur.com/hVtct.jpg ). I can't think of any reason why it would suddenly start doing this.

Hi,
Please check if this happens in Safe Mode. Safe mode disables the installed Extensions, and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/add-ons can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed in Firefox normal mode to check if an extension, theme, option or hardware acceleration is causing issues. Disabling/enabling hardware acceleration, and some types of add-ons in normal mode may require a Firefox restart - a quick way to restart Firefox is to press Shift + F2, type restart and Enter.
Hi there, thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, I can't try what you suggested, as I uhm... did the extreme of uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling Firefox, then reinstalling the backed-up profile. That seems to have fixed it. If it happens again, I'll definitely try the Safe Mode option, and then check to see if it's an extension that's causing it. One of them could have stealth updated without me knowing it. Going to save this for later, just in case!
Thanks for the update :)
