is there a way to close a pinned tab without unpinning it or closing the browser completely?

when i have one of my pinned tabs opened and i open a new tab, i cant find a way to close the pinned tab without closing the browser completly. is there a way to close a pinned tab? thanks.

Right-click the tab and choose Close Tab.

You can also middle-click a tab to close that tab and that also works for pinned tabs.
