The firefox home page seems to have changed and be tied to Google Chrome - I cannot find any search button when I put in a web address.
Hello Mozilla staff:
The Mozilla homepage looks different - now I get a Google Chrome icon on my desk top but it still says Mozilla Firefox. My "favorites" list disappeared a few days ago from the Mozilla homepage when the icons changed, and they had to be imported. Most of the small identifying images by each favorite website on my "favorites" list do not show up any longer. Finally, when I put in an address in the proper place - the search bar - at the top of the Mozilla homepage, there is no longer a search capability button showing up.
These changes are confusing. AND I must say, that you have no telephone support is a problem for me.
I am a loyal user of Mozilla and have been for several years. I find the changes on the homepage challenging, frustrating and disturbing. Can I not talk to a person there who can help fix these problems?

Thanks, Bill Haskell

hello bill, it looks like your question was posted from google chrome - so this browser seems to have taken over your computer. in order to reinstall firefox, go to getfirefox.com and download/install the program again.
Assuming you still have Firefox on your computer, another way to start it up would be from the Windows XP Start menu, Run box:
firefox.exe
If Firefox doesn't offer to make itself your default browser, then try the steps in this article: Make Firefox your default browser.
Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
