Restoring Bookmarks causing "no response"/ locking up

Recently backed up firefox bookmarks because I have about 10 years worth of information.

I also use Xmarks. Well Xmarks trashed my book marks and Firefox freezes up when trying to restore from the firefox back up. I have even disabled Xmarks and it still will not restore.

Are you trying to restore a JSON backup in Firefox?

If that gives a problem then try to delete the places.sqlite file and try again.
