How to delete a bookmark in a folder on the bookmark bar on Firefox for Mac

I am getting no context menu when I try to delete or see the properties of a bookmark that is sitting in a folder on my bookmarks toolbar. The menu shows up when I select a bookmark sitting on the toolbar. I've tried it with Firefox in safe mode so it is not an extension causing this. It works fine in Google Chrome. I am using version 23.0.1 on a Mac Mini. Appreciate the help. Bob

You can remove a folder in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).

I used to be able to do it from the bookmark bar by clicking on the folder select the bookmark in question, right click and go from there, now however there is no context menu when I click on the bookmark.
