I have installed java and enabled. But some applicatios shoeing that java is not installed and enabled.

I am using ubuntu 12.04. I have installed java in it. In firefox also I have enabled it. But some allplicatios like keepvid showing that java is not installed or not enabled. Done all priliminary troubulshootings like checking restarting and all

Try check your plugins version:

I dont see Java installed in your computer too. Where did you get the installator?

Also: Try go to about:config search for plugin.state.java and change its valueto true, also go to Tools >> Addons >> Plugins and look for Java and change its option to Always active or Ask to active

Make sure that you have installed the 32 bit Java version if you use a 32 bit Firefox version and vice verse.

You can check the Security tab Java Control Center (jcontrol on Linux) to make sure that "Enable Java content in the browser" is enabled.
