cannot change save password settings

I want top be able to save passwords to various websites; however when I go to Security Settings the 'Check Box' for remembering passwords is like greyed out; as is in I can't physically can't 'check / Click on the box' to change the setting

Any ideas?

It might be because you have a preference disabled somehow.

I see that you have the preference browser.privatebrowsing.autostart set to true. That means Firefox starts up in Private Browsing mode automatically. That's probably why it's greyed out. Navigate to about:config in Firefox and search for browser.privatebrowsing.autostart and set it to false by double clicking it. That should work..

If it doesn't Go to about:config in Firefox then search for signon.rememberSignons and set it to true by double clicking it and see if that helps?
