Firefox 28 constantly freezes on Facebook

Updated to Firefox 28 yesterday and it is CONSTANTLY freezing now when I use Facebook. Any time I enter text into a box where it starts to search for someone's name - whether it is in the search box or when I am posting or commenting and it starts to suggest one of my friend's names based on what I am typing - Firefox freezes. This is rendering Facebook unusable. If I cannot find a solution that actually works I am going to have to stop using Firefox because of it. It did not happen, ever, before updating to Firefox 28.

I have tried clearing cookies and resetting Firefox. Neither worked.
