Could you try downloading from this page and see whether it works any better: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ (scroll down to your language)

If that has the same problem, could you capture an image of the error message? This could help in tracking down the source. This article has suggestions on how to capture the screen: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Then you can attach the image to a reply.
