Why on earth did the newest update make it a 3 step process to get to a bookmark that's in a folder within a folder instead of one step as it was?

Used to be able to click bookmarks and click once to go to site, now have to click bookmarks, then wait for the folder to open then wait for that next folder to open, what a waste of time! I seriously dislike the way bookmarks are set up in the new update-PLEASE change bookmarks back to the way they were!!

In terms of bookmarks, all of your bookmarks are automatically saved as "Unsorted." if you want to put them in a folder, the best way to do that is to open the bookmarks panel (on the right side of the screen next to the star,) and then click "Bookmarks Sidebar" or "Show All Bookmarks." This is a lot like how it used to be. Also, your folders should be easily accessible from that dropdown menu. You can click and drag your bookmarks around from that menu, or use the sidebar and the window to keep track of your bookmarks. Another thing to keep in mind is that Firefox automatically remembers your bookmarks. You just need to start typing the thing you're looking for into the address bar. (We call that the awesome bar!) You can also turn on the Bookmarks toolbar by going to "View-->toolbars-->bookmarks toolbar." All your folders should also be accessible and modifiable there. :) Here are some more articles on bookmarks and the new Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/bookmark-folders-organize-your-bookmarks https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sort-bookmarks-quickly-find-ones-you-want

Jennierose thank you for your reply. I am aware of, and have done everything you posted, kind as you were to give the information, it does not help with what I see as a problem with the bookmarks basic new setup.

I wrote to the first link you posted, thank you for the link, I hope Firefox will change it back, it's simply a time waster as it is, with the extra steps to get to a bookmarked site. Thanks
