Thunderbird does not use the right email to answer to a mailing list, what's happening ?
I have several accounts in my Thunderbird, all under "Local Folders".
I have subscribed to several mailing lists using different emails.
When I want to answer to an email from a list, I click "Reply to the list" but the source email address Thunderbird uses to answer is the first account in Thunderbird. Thunderbird does not use the email which has received the mail from the list.
For example I have :
- my.name@someplace.com
- other.mail@mail.com
- thirdmail@nospam.com
I've subscribed to python mailing list using "other.mail@mail.com". "other.mail@mail.com" is thus the mail which receives mails from python list. When I want to answer a mail from python list, I click on a mail and then click on "Reply to the list". Thunderbird opens a new window mail but the "From" email address is not good, Thunderbird uses "my.name@someplace.com" instead of "other.mail@mail.com".
I have to check the source of the mail I want to answer to know which email address I must put in the "From".
I have currently 34 mailing list subscription, I cannot remember which email goes with which mailing list.
Before Thunderbird did fill correctly the right "From", now it systematically uses the first account's mail !
What is happening ? What can I do ? Is it a bug ?

Can you also check something else for me: In one of those mailing list emails which selects wrong email address. select the email: click on 'Other Actions' and select ' view source'
- Is there a 'Delivered-to' header?
- Does it display the correct email address?
- Is it the same email address as entered in the 'TO' header ?
- Is this the email address of the correct mail account?
- Is this the email address you would expect to use as FROM when you REply-to all ?
Delivered-To: python-win32@mail.python.org To: Python-Win32 List <python-win32@python.org>
Received: from albatross.python.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.python.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3ks7XM75Ppz7Lr6 for <myaddress@mail.net>; Tue, 24 Feb 2015 19:07:47 +0100 (CET)
So my email address is mentioned in the source but not in an "...To"/"...From" header, it appears only in the several "Received:" entries.

Given that you've mentioned "newslists", does this addressing problem affect only the nntp accounts 4, 7 and 8?
No issue with newsgroups, it works well, it uses the correct email address to answer to newsgroups.
As Delivered-To: and To: are neither any of your actual email addresses you wish to use, then it sounds like Thunderbird realises these are not any of your pop mail accounts, so is defaulting to use your default mail account.
Check the header 'X-Account-Key: account number' is it the correct one (account number) for that pop mail account email address. So it is being put into the correct pop mail account.
What account number is entered in the 'X-Account-Key' header ?
Modified
X-Account-Key: account3
and account3 corresponds to the correct email address.

Vote and add myself to CC, done.
No TB 31.5.0 on Fedora yet.
The bug is present in Thunderbird 31.7.0.
When trying to answer to a mailing list mail, TB uses my first identity instead of the identity which received the mail.
