Hello, I recently switched from Qwest to Comcast, and now thunderbird will not retrieve my gmail. Nothing else changed except my switching ISP's. As a matter of fact if I hook my computer back up to my Qwest connection everything is fine. So it's a COMCAST cable problem plain and simple. Should I just cancel comcast and stick with Qwest or is there a workaround to this? Thanks!

Again, let me be clear, I am not talking about comcast email, I only use GMAIL! And thunderbird. Thanks!

Ok, I figured it out. Gmail security, which I appreciate- sensed a NEW IP had accessed my account with 3rd party software (mozilla). I had to re-confirm my gmail accounts by logging in via browser and answer some security questions. All is well. YAY!
