how do I restore my previous firefox
I finally broke down and updated Firefox. I HATE IT !!!!!! Now how do I get my old version back ???
You want information giving details about the internal workings of my browser that will help in answering my question. Then look ,at your shity fucking update.
We've made some educated guesses about your current browser. Then you are WRONG !!! that is not my browser.
Follow through. Sometimes, our volunteers would ask you for more information or to test out certain scenarios. The sooner you can do this, the sooner they would know how to fix it.
THE SOONER YOU TELL ME HOW TO RESTORE MY OLD VERSION, THE SOONER IT WILL BE FIXED
Are y'all owned by FUCKBOOK now, you are getting to act like it. You can't be contacted, and we have to go through 15 or so screens to get here. Do you have a whole copy if my hard drive yet ??? NO? then you better hurry. I'm about ready to wipe this shit off my computer and go back to Iexplorer which I also hate. I just hope I can find something better.

When you posted previously, you were using Firefox 36. There were only minor interface and feature changes since then, so I suspect that during your update one of two things happened:
(1) You used the Refresh feature. This can occur when Firefox detects it is performing poorly and says you can speed it up by restoring some default settings. If you click that button, your add-ons are removed and many settings are restored to factory defaults. Your entire old settings folder is moved to the desktop into a folder named Old Firefox Data.
Can you find that folder? If so, if you check inside, is there a very freshly updated, semi-randomly named folder? If so, and you want to roll back the Refresh, please see my post here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1057756#answer-719277
(2) Your settings folder was locked so Firefox generated a new one automatically. In this case, try shutting down and restarting Windows to see whether that helps Firefox regain access to your normal settings.
I did a full search on my drive there is no file or folder named (Old Firefox Data) on my drive or desktop. Besides I did not Refresh. If it said I was using Firefox 36 then that is what just got installed DUH !!! The one I was running brought up a window when i clicked on options at the bottom of the home page. then when I clicked on show cookies it opened another window for the cookies, which i could leave on my desktop to check any time I wanted and manually remove the ones I didn't want or wipe out all.
After the update it said the new one would run next time I ran the browser. It did.
I doubt your update was smart enough to create a restore point, but I am going to check as it appears to be my best option what with the super intelligence I am encountering with your support group. If I have to go back months then so be it, and I WILL not UPDATE IT AGAIN !
I'm not sure you've tapped into our intelligence yet, we've barely begun to understand what happened on your system...
My reference to Firefox 36 was to a post you made on February 27th. You posted this question using Firefox 38.something. There is not a drastic difference between the two.
I do NOT recommend using the Windows "system restore" feature without making a backup of all of the contents of this folder (I am providing a shortcut that you can paste into the Start menu search box to jump straight to the folder):
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox
While you're in that folder, please double-click into the Profiles folder and see whether you have multiple semi-randomly-named folders in there.
