Facebook Opening new tab

Okay, so I haven't used Firefox in several years but just came up with a slight annoyance now that I have it installed again. So I log into Facebook and see that my aunt has posted a long message with the traditional "Continue Reading" listed at bottom so I click on that, instead of expanding it like the other browsers I was using, it opens it in a new tab. I don't want to completely disable opening things in a new tab as I use it quite often, but is there a way to make it just expand the section that I am trying to read?

See more does not do this, but read more does. I think its a work limit built into Facebook. Try webcompat.com to report this.
