I had uninstalled the AmazonSmile button, and installed another Amazon button that I decided I didn't like. I tried to get back the AmazonSmile button; it installed fine, but doesn't show on the toolbar. It's designed to, because it's a redirect button. I tried installing the SmileRedirect button but that doesn't show either. Any ideas? I know they're installed because they're listed in my Add-ons.

Hi, have a look in the 3-bar menu, as shown in Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Scribe, thank you for your reply. I started with refreshing Firefox, and then went to Customize. It's funny, because earlier, the Amazon Smile button wasn't there among the customization icons, but this time it was, and I was able to drag the icon to the title bar. However, I then installed another add-on I'd had previously, and suddenly the Amazon Smile button disappeared. It still shows in my list of add-ons, but it's no longer in the title bar, and it no longer shows in the Customize panel. What the---!?

Sounds like an incompatibility between add-ons where one overrides the other. Not much you can do except to contact the developers of those two add-ons to make them both aware of the issue -- or don't use them both, like pick one or the other. That's the risk of using 3rd party add-ons.

Try to click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette to see if that brings back this button.
