Why isn't Flash on Mac disabled due to security issues as it is on other OSes?

Flash is currently disabled on Windows and Linux in Firefox due to security issues. But it isn't on OSX, why is that? The page for checking plugin updates does mention all versions of Flash are currently vulnerable, so there seems to be a reason to block it also on OSX.
