My home button has disappeared with the new update 55.0.3 When I couldn't see the button I thought it would be easy to restore it. Like previous versions, I went to Preferences looking for a "Show home button option" but that option has also disappeared. There is only Home Page option, but no Home Button. I really need a home button, that was one of the reasons I left Opera and changed to Firefox. Please tell me that there is a way to get it, without third-party add-ons.

Check the area where the icon was. One user reported it was invisible.

Type about:customizing<enter> in the address bar. In the new window, look for the icon. When you find it, hold down the left button on it, and move it to where you want it to be. You can move any of the icons you want from here, but; some icons are locked in place.

There is also a Restore Defaults button at the bottom middle.

Note: about:customizing is no longer present in Firefox 47+ releases.

  • Press Alt or F10 to bring up the toolbar.
Then View > Toolbars > Customize.
  • Right-click on a blank spot in the toolbar and
    select Customize.

You may have accidentally removed button(s) from the Navigation Toolbar.

If you right-click a toolbar item in normal (non-customize) mode then you can remove this item from the toolbar.

  • "Remove from Toolbar" will remove this item from the Navigation Toolbar and moves it to the Customize palette ("3-bar" Firefox menu button -> Customize)
  • "Move to Menu" will move this item to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list
  • "Move to Toolbar" in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list will move this item to the toolbar
