Why does Firefox hang on startup waiting for secondary HD spinup?

I recently installed a new primary SSD a long with a fresh Windows 10 64 bit and Firefox 57.0.1 on it. Sometimes when I launch Firefox the browser hangs for a few seconds waiting for my secondary HDD to spin up even though Firefox isn't installed that drive.

Are you saving files to that secondary HDD that you download thru Firefox?

If so, see if deleting your download history from Firefox stops that 'hang' from occurring on startup.
