Since 12/7/17 update was installed, my laptop has slowed to a point where programs will not even load or open up.
Have done all the cleanups: cleared cache, old files, cookies, defragged drive, etc. It works fine on my desktop (Win 7) but not on my laptop (Win 10). Other programs take much time to load and use. Seems like to laptop has gone back 15 years in time with speed! H

You could try this please : Go the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 0 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Pkshadow: Thanks much for your suggestion. I made the adjustment on my wife's laptop and it appears to have solved the slowness problem. I also made the adjustment on my desktop where Firefox was slowing and that also appears to have worked. Thanks much for you help. Take care.
