To create an @gmail.com or @outlook.com account is no problem. However, creating my @icloud.com account delivers an error-message: username or password should be wrong. But I checked it several times.

My understanding is you have to allow IMAP and POP on the mycloud web site and if you use two factor authentication create an app password for Thunderbird.
