How do I read or use a QR Code, scan it with the camera...so what camera?
I am probably the dumbest oldboy on the PC Computer arena... You're the judge.
I have never used QR Codes before, but I know basically what they are. That I can scan such a code, for example that shows on the advertisement wall in the center of town, which make your web browser jump to the link that is hidden in those QR Code pixels. And many more types of use.
But when someone sends a shared QR Code to me in an email and say: "- Watch this!! Hilarious!!" ...I get interested, curious and want to see that 'hilarious' "what-ever-it-was...."
Now to the stupidety department. Well I have really TRIED to bend my Laptop screen 180 degrees so my Laptop camera can scan that freakin code... But no, Thats impossible, my screen started to make squeeking noises.... So I gave up. Those japanees inventors must of course have a very simple solution to this...but I cant get it. Well I started with Atari PINGPONG computer game. Back then everything was simple to learn. So I will put a couple of dosh on that it is me who is dumpfounded.
But I must believe, if not for my mental health status, that those who invented this just cannot be so stupid that they have hidden the USER MANUAL for these QR Codes.. I mean... it cant be just me that needs to scan a pattern on screen with the camera "above screen"?
I use Firefox Quantum 64b v.60.0.2 Laptop = MSI GE60.

You are meant to scan those codes with your smartphone, and open them using the web browser on your phone.
Here are two QR Code extensions that are capable or reading QR code as an image in Firefox Laptop / Desktop.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/qrcode-generator-and-reader/
I haven't used either of those - @ 68 yo I have no need for that stuff.
