1. Firefox Quantum 62.0 (64-bit) On Windows 7 64bit. 2. System Input language: English, Simplified Chinese, and default is English. 3. When input focus on anywhere in Firefox, switch languagte to Chinese either by Alt+Shift or system tray icon. 4. Input something by Chinese. 5. Trying to change the language back to English by Alt+Shift or system tray icon, but failed, the input language keeps in English.

Hi, so what happens when you actually switch properly by the internal in Options --> Language --> Choose and move the language up or down that way. ??

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected
