I've got several email accounts in Thunderbird and all the mail goes into "Local Folders". I've just added a new email for the first time in 5 or 6 years and I finally found the settings that moves those new messages into Local Folders but I still have the top level directory WOM. I guess it's not the end of the world but how do I remove that top level directory?

Thanks,

Mike

Have you set up the WOM account for Global Inbox? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Global_Inbox

I still have the top level directory WOM.

Is 'WOM' an old account you once created, and now don't need anymore? If so, is there any mail you'd like to preserve from that old account?

No, WOM is the new account and there's nothing in the Inbox or Trash folders. I've got incoming test emails dropping into Local Folders|Inbox so I just need to get rid of the WOM upper level folder.

I did go through those steps (without knowing that page existed) so I failed to restart Thunderbird. Once I restarted the top level folder is gone.

Thanks!
