Hello, Is there a way to preserve my firefox history & bookmarks from potentially being lost while resetting my password? Its easy enough to reset. I would like to do so without losing all that I have accumulated to-date.

Thank you

Typically, even you are unable to sign into the FF account, the data wont be harmed/lost. And even if you create a new FF account, the data in your profile wont be lost. But will be copied to your new FF account for storing and sharing.

i'm no expert on the mac, but if you enter and go to the below url in FF, you will open up a profile manifest.

There should be at least 2 profiles cited, and one of them will be active.

You will be provided with the opportunity to see where the folders are stored on your disk.

If you can copy them to a safe place. Here is more info:

Thank you for the help!! It took a bit of staying with it as I had about 5+ different profiles I've collected over time living in the folder you directed me too. I ended up once I had created the profile I wanted, going back and cleaning/deleting the extra profiles. Then I started up from another created profile and reset my password, closed FF, re-opened FF, went to About:profiles and then selected the profile I first created. And of course it worked. Thanks again for your assist. Be Well
