I am getting this error message when opening Thunderbird: Login to server imap.xfinity.com with username at @comcast.net failed. I need to reset my password for the imap server. Thanks, Kevin

Xfinity could be blocking the third party access, so it might have nothing to do with password. Have you logged on to the webmail account using a browser and selected to allow third party apps ? This was a new level of security added by xfinity. Please check this first: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/third-party-email-access
