I have just been blacklisted, again; and am unable to send emails. I can receive emails but cannot send them. When I try to send them I get the following message - Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: Connection refused - OB115. 103.137.12.230 is blacklisted. If you believe this to be in error, please contact [edited] @bigpond.com. This has happened several times and I have discovered that if I turn off the modem for about 24 hours, when I restart it; I get a different IP address, and everything works fine till the next time. I have logged onto my Telstra home page and have sent and received emails from there; which seems to indicate the issue is with Thunderbird on my computer. I am asking for your support in this matter, as being blacklisted in not funny. Help!!!.. I have spoken with Telstra on this issue and they have referred me to you as we were able to send email from my Telstra home page; but not from my computer. My email address is [email removed from public] or phone Aust [phone# removed from public]

I'm afraid what you're experiencing has nothing to do with Thunderbird. The IP address that is getting blacklisted is used and issued by your ISP, not Thunderbird. Thunderbird has no control or effect on your modem's connection to the ISP.
