I had to reinstall Windows and now I can't reinstall Thunderbird. It says my password is incorrect to my primary email server but it is correct. I use yahoo mail but it is showing the host as att. All of my contact and distribution groups are there.

I will guess. if your an ATT customer with an ATT address hosted by Yahoo you need a secure mail key not your password. See https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1240308/

You can use oauth if you change all the server names to yahoo manually. Otherwise it is mailkey all the way.
