TB128: PopOS: Composition window has unreadable menus because of color scheme
Hi,
I installed thunderbird in a new computer via flatpak. The computer is running PopOS 22.04 and the current Thunderbird version is 128.0esr.
I don't know if this happened after the last update from 127 to 128 or was like this before, but on the compose window all the menus and buttons on the top row are completeley invisible, white on white (if I hover over them, then they are slightly visible). See the first 2 images.
The main window is OK and everything is readable (see 3rd image).
I don't know how to change these colors.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi again el.baby.
This might be fixed by the fix for related colours bug: Bug 1875054: Compose windows menus and toolbars colours with Ubuntu https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1875054
If so, this was fixed in 128.1. Please try 128.1 when it comes out.

Hi el.baby
Did you manage to fix this?
Please try Thunderbird Troubleshoot Mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird
If that fixes the issue please let us know!

Nope. I just turned on Troubleshoot Mode, checked both checkboxes (Disable all add-ons & Reset toolbars and controls) to no avail.
The compose window remains the same.
Hi again el.baby :-) OK well then the next thing to do is try changing the. colours in PopOS back to the defaults. (Assuming you haven't tried that already :-)) ...Roland

Hi Roland,
thanx a lot for your help. Flatpak is at 128.0.1esr so I guess it'll get to 128.1 soon enough.
Anyway, here it says that in dark mode works fine, so I checked and indeed, it does. So i changed to dark mode till 128.1 hits flathub.
Again, thank you for your help.
Hi again.
This is just to confirm that Thunderbird 128.1 is today available at flathub and it DOES solve this problem.
Hi again: Glad 128.1 fixed it! Closing this thread. Cheers! ...Roland
