Addblock Plus needs to be updated because YouTube figured out how to detect it

more options

YouTube keeps putting up the add block detection when I try to play a video. Apparently they can detect Add block Plus. Kubuntu 24.04 Firefox version 130.0 [64-bit] Mozilla Firefox Snap for Ubuntu Canonical-002-10. Add block Plus version sorry I can't find that information.

When I click in their link Firefox says, to https://help.eyeo.com and Firefox blocks it.

I'm a long time user of ABP and have not seen any issues with YT. Can you show proof of the issue and provide links to videos that you received messages from YT about ABP? ABP support site - https://help.adblockplus.org/hc/en-us

Does Firefox display an information bar saying it blocked the redirect and show an option to continue? You can turn off the redirect block:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future. Since we are restoring the default value, I feel comfortable mentioning it.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste accessibility.blockautorefresh and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the preference has a value of true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

If there is some other kind of block, what does the page say?
