Keep Private Tabs Open for FireFox Android

more options

Good morning and/or evening!

Within the last year, I upgraded my phone from iOS to Android, and decided to switch browsers from Safari to FireFox while I was at it. The mobile version of FireFox has served me very well so far, especially the collections feature!

I also like to use private tabs to save content I may not want to view until later. Unfortunately, due to FireFox automatically closing private tabs, I often lose my place and reading lists.

The option to Keep Private Tabs is available on the iOS version of Firefox, as shown on this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatically-close-private-tabs-when-leaving-priv. Would it be possible to make this an option for Android users as well?

Thank you for your time and help!

Good evening,

As far As I know, Firefox on Android doesn’t yet support keeping private tabs open like on iOS, which can be frustrating for saving reading lists. For now, you could add tabs to Collections as a temporary solution. However, according to my research, Mozilla will bring this feature to Android soon!

Thank You, Mike Taku.
