This is getting completely ridicolous! First SMPT failed to connect, than IMAP stopped working with our years old perfect working OAuth2 config. So we deleted in the end the program. re-installed the latest version of Thunderbird and tried to reconnect our Gmail account with our user/password (both 1000% correct!!), all on Oauth2 according to your help, but nothing works, simply getting error message that either config, user or password are incorrect.

Hi guys, what is going on? This our business account, and we URGENTLY need it up and running again. Please HELP!

Chosen solution

- first, make sure that you accept cookies at settings>privacy&security - in creating the account, I suggest NOT entering password during setup, but wait until prompted for it by Google.

Thanks David, This was the solution. I first de-installed both VPN's as it looks one was also interfering. But NOT inputting password was 100% the problem solver, as then Google pop up asked for 2nd authentication and asking to confirm access to Gmail. After both was done, I'm back connected and in business. Thanks so very much.
