iOS Firefox, using DuckDuckGo as search engine. When Firefox refreshes after a pause in browsing, instead of going to DuckDuckGo, it goes to "www6.duckduck.com/lander…" which advertises online games etc. Why does this happen?

This issue happened because the search query url when customizing the search engine for DuckDuckGo is actually https://duckduckgo.com/?q=search&kp=-1&kl=us-en Then, you need to save your search engine selection. Next, Firefox will apply the customization successfully to those settings.
