My bookmarks bring up the BBC website instead of bookmarked websites.

I just installed a new hardrive. All my old info seems to be intact. I installed Fire Fox. My bookmarks bring up webpages other than what they are labeled with a special fondness for the BBC news website! Anybody have any ideas how to fix this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fire Fox to no avail.
