can I block porn sites thru firefox like I can internet explore?

There are certain adult websites that I do not want accessed by my computer since children use this computer also. Is there a way that firefox (which is used to access the internet) can block the sites that have adult content? I friend said to ditch firefox and use internet explorer because it can block content.

You can use web filtering software such as K9 Web Protection to block access to porn sites using any browser.

Another option is to use OpenDNS to block access to porn sites, this will work with all browsers.
