i just updated to fire fox 4 and i can't locate the plugins and the addons.
now that i have version 4 my spell checker program will not work and i asked for another one and i found a few and had them added. it looked like they down loaded but then nothing. with spell check i saw a button that would let me manually do a spell check but i don't see any buttons for the spell checkers i added on. and when i went to the add ons section it took me to another page with these programs and when i clicked them it said i already had them. but where did they go so i can see about getting the buttons up where i can activate them. thanks

Go to Tools | Add-ons | Extensions to see your add-ons.
The spellchecker can be found via Tools | Add-ons | Advanced | General (tab). See image @ Advanced Options
You might like to consider replacing the Status bar which was removed in Firefox 4.0 by installing this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/Add-ons can be seen easily at the foot of the page after that.
thanks for the help. but with all the other issues with version 4 i went back to 3.6
CorvairBob, I agree with you, but how do you go back to 3.6? Can you give me a heads up on that? Thanks David
To revert to the previous secure version do the following.
Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and download it to the desktop.
Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.
After you complete the installation, go to the Plugins Check page and update those if necessary.
thanks xircal. i did that when i reinstalled 3.6 it worked good. but others may want to go back and your instructions will help them. thanks bp.
You're welcome.
