I'm on my Macbook and I've lost my menu bar for Firefox. I'm on Safari right now, but want Firefox. Firefox shows in the dock and the word Firefox appears up on top where the menu bar show be. The is nothing next to it.

press 'Alt' then it appears

I don't have an "alt" button. I have the Mac keyboard.
