Need to delete/reload bookmark icons in bookmark sidebar

more options

Some of the bookmarks in my bookmark sidebar (and everywhere else that they appear) are displaying the wrong favicon. How do I get Firefox 5 to delete the existing favicon so that it will be reloaded, presumably with the correct one? I have tried downloading several "add-ons" that claim to fix the problem, but not a single one of them helped - they were probably for older versions of Firefox.

You can try to repair the favicons with this extension.

I was actually finally able to correct the problem with the "favicon picker 2" add-on. I guess trying one add-on after another finally paid off. The add-on you've suggested looks very handy, however, because I know that I have several bookmarks that reference no-longer-existent web pages. I'll go ahead and install it and use it to "clean house". Thanks for your help.
