Just go to 'options' in 'tools' at the menu and click 'general' and type in your igoogle main page. ( google.com/ig)

Thanks Jerry, but I can't find "tools" in the toolbar. Sorry to sound so dumb but the new Firefox (8) seems to be not as good as previous versions.
