Some app tabs are pinned with just a square box and no icon(picture) inside it; the same is true for some tabs on the regular toolbar; how can I change these empty boxes to a meaningful icon?
Almost all tabs in the toolbar and app tabs have meaningful icon pictures to the left of the text. Since I upgraded firefox, some now just have empty squares instead of recognizable icons. Is it possible to change the empty box to an icon picture and how would I do this.
Chosen solution
The pin tab usually shows what is called a "favicon" of the website. If the website doesn't have a favicon then it is showed as a blank square. You can customize your favicon using some extensions or add-ons. Here's some link:
1. Bookmark Favicon changer: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bookmark-favicon-changer/
2. Favicon Picker 3: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/favicon-picker-3/?src=ss
Or you can search for add-ons yourself. Just make sure the add-on is available for your version of firefox.
