Following last updade slow then slower still, uninstall reinstall ok for few hrs slow again, IE requires constant reinstall of flash video, fed up

Following last update firefox running slower then slower still; also when tried IE it appears ok however, now requires constant reinstall of flash video player. Complete unintall, IE now appears ok, reinstall next day, ok for a few hours then slower and slower again with same IE probems. Before last update, pleased with Firefox, now "FED UP"

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.
