The texts do not appear

Fonts, texts and menus, all disappeared.

When I open Firefox and type in some text in the address bar text is invisible. Although the texts are there can not see what I typed.

The menu drop-downs do not appear.

Look the print screen of my Firefox: http://www.maisinside.com.br/print_firefox.jpg

I found some solutions on the Internet where they were written for Firefox to be restarted without the extensions, but how do I restart it if I do not see the menus? I do not know where to click.

Already excludes my profile and installed Firefox again but not solved the problem.

I have installed Thunderbird 14 also.

Can anyone help me? Thanks for your attention

Chosen solution

If the problem occurs in regular mode but not safe mode, why not try disabling Firefox from using graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved?

I have two main theories about your issue.

The first one is that, for some reason, your Windows theme is corrupted and Firefox shows all text in white. Try to right-click your wallpaper, click Customize and choose Windows Classic theme. Check if now Firefox works as expected.

If it doesnt, maybe your language file is corrupted or it has characters that your Windows build cannot display, such as Asiatic or Arabic characters. Try to uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it in the English language from the official getfirefox.com site. If it still doesn't work, please tweet me (see my profile) and I'll find any other solution.

Hi Marcsances, thanks for your help.

Actually you were right. I changed the theme to Windows Classic aversion and the problem solved, but when he returns to the theme windows 7 problem seems to reappear.

I installed Firefox in English but that did not solve the problem. The text still does not appear.

How to solve this?

Hi there. You may be experimenting issues with the Aero interface. Try also to switch to Basic interface, if it works too on Basic non effect interface, maybe this may help you to solve Aero problems: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/aero_effects_not_working/en-us

Also make sure your computer and display drivers are up-to-date and working as expected, and your graphics card has 3D acceleration features. If the problem persists maybe you may also disable transparency without disabling Aero.

You could try resetting your menus and toolbars to default settings.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode (Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode) using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the Safe Mode dialog, check the box for "Reset toolbars and controls" and click "Make Changes and Restart."

Does that make any difference?

If not, to test disabling add-ons, go back to

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

This time, just click "Continue in Safe Mode".

Does that make any difference?

First I should explain that the problem is certainly not caused by my graphics card because I use this PC and more than 1 year and never had problems with versions of Firefox anteriors. In early August I re-installed Windows and installed version 14 of Firefox and started using the Thundebird. These were the changes.

Second, even if the texts could see sme restarting in Safe Mode eos menus and text appear only in safe mode, but when renicio the problem persists.

Reseted toolbars and controls but not solved the problem.

Dear friends, may continue to help me?
