I am importing bookmarks from Internet Explorer 9. If the bookmark has a subdirectory, I don't get the links in the subdirectory.

I am running Mozilla Firefox 20.0.1 under Windows 7 Ultimate. I am trying to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer 9.0.15. If the bookmark has a subdirectory, I don't get any of the links in the subdirectory.

This has not happened on my other computers: Internet Explorer 8 under Windows XP Professional Internet Explorer 9 under Windows 7 Professional

This incomplete importing sometimes happens for unknown reasons.

You can manually export your bookmarks from IE and then import them into Firefox using an HTML file as an intermediary format. This thread has the steps: Only 1/3rd of my bookmarks imported from IE. How do I move the rest?
