I add new bookmarks quite quickly. I always end up having 1000 or more new bookmarks after just a year. It takes less than second to bookmark page, you just click Ctrl+D, but I never really looked what hotkeys in firefox are and I don't know how to un-bookmark it in similar way. But now I have too many of them (few 1000's), where much of them can be useful for me, so I would want to delete don't needed ones. Thus,

What is hotkey for deleting page from bookmarks?

Or maybe other quick way to do this? Why if I click on star near searching tab, it adds page to bookmarks, but I cannot un-click it? Shouldn't un-clicking this delete page from bookmarks?

This way I could quickly look through my bookmarks and delete these I don't need anymore: 1) I open 50-100 pages from bookmarks. 2) Quickly view them, deleting not needed ones with hotkey and doing Ctrl+W to quickly close checked tab and check another one. 3) When I check all 50-100, I go back to 1) and open next dozens of bookmarks.

If I would have to do every page at once, through opening it in browser manager, waiting for it to load, delete it from manager, then open another page... it would take ages, similar with opening many tabs from manager and deleting them manually: I would have to guess which opened tab is which in manager, I could make some mistakes and then need to open some of tabs once more...

All these problems would be simplified if I knew hotkey for deleting viewed page from bookmarks.

Can anyone help? :-)

Sebastian

Chosen solution

Then there's something wrong with your Firefox profile. Restart Firefox with add-ons disabled and check if the problems still occur.

If the problems go away, then one of your add-ons is probably to blame. You can either try to identify which one, or you can reset Firefox to get rid of them all.

If you either click the Star button or press Ctrl+D on a page that's already bookmarked, that brings up the Edit This Bookmark dialog. You can then either click the Remove Bookmark button or press Alt+R.

When I click Ctrl+D or star, no mater how many times, nothing never shows up, it only adds page to bookmarks, nothing else (I have firefox 28.0). (Similar issue with downloaded files: I must slick Ctrl+J, because clicking on Arrow in right upper corner of browser does not pop out what it should (nothing pops out))

And when should I click this ' Alt+R' ? I click on star and ' Alt+R' and nothing happens :(
